We all have that one friend who serves as a breath of fresh air to our day and keeps us relatively sane. The friend who can spot your frustrations and concerns and give you solid godly advice to get you through the day. Hold on to those friends, for they are a gift from God!
Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one!’- C.S. Lewis
You got it Lewis, couldn’t have said it better myself. This is usually what runs through my mind when I’m talking to another mom friend of mine and they tell me a story about the ups and downs of motherhood. They talk about something that I thought only I struggled with and suddenly I don’t feel so alone anymore.
This happens quite frequently with a friend of mine named Taelor. She is one of the strongest mothers I know and our conversations about mom life give me such joy and so many giggles. It really goes to show you just how important community is. I couldn’t imagine how my life would be if I wasn’t surrounded by people who are committed to pour into my life like I am to theirs.
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. -Proverbs 27:17
I hope you have a friend you can lean on and laugh with, one that will call you out when necessary, and lean on you in trials.
