A Ray of Sunshine

There is a little ray of sunshine growing inside of me and I couldn’t be more excited. Her name is Leona and she is a beautiful gift from God. The infamous Psalm rings true yet again, “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.” (Psalm 127:3-5)

I can only imagine the journey that lies ahead of me and my husband as we welcome her soon here in August. What a thrill to be given such a precious gift to steward and to nurture. We pray that we will be good parents and represent the Christian life well to her and the other children we may have.

These months have been full of anticipation and wonder as I’ve watched my belly grow and make room for this precious little life, and I am in awe of how God has literally been knitting her together and giving her life. He is the great sustainer of all, I am just the vessel.

Leona, we can’t wait to meet you.
